When we believe in our hearts that Christ Jesus is the Son of God, and confess with our mouths that God raised Him from the dead to save us from our sins, we become born again (Romans 8:10-13). Born of the Spirit of God (John 1:12-13).

God foreordained us to be His (Ephesians 1:4-6), so even if you are not born again as you read this, God is able to give you the free gift of faith, so that you be born again (Ephesians 2:8). 

Therefore, every predestined believer of Christ Jesus has been given a measure of faith (Romans 12: 3-8). Because only that which is done in faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6).

So, when you are out and about, look for faith at work.

Where is your faith?

Where is faith being manifested around you?

It is not about your trials, your origin, your circumstances, your challenges, your feelings, your giants, your mountains/ obstacles in life, your battles, and the like. 

It is about “do you have faith that comes from God?”

Every predestined believer of Christ Jesus has a measure of faith to enable one to please God. 

But how do you release that faith within you for action – to win battles around you? (1 John 5:4).

By hearing what Christ Jesus is saying to you when addressing your current situations/ circumstances and, obeying what He tells you to do. 

No mountain is greater than what Jesus Christ tells you (in your spirit) to do.

No sickness, no cancer, no poverty, no lack, no death, no fear of death, no sin, and the like that withstands the gift of faith within us. (Mark 9:23).

Receive that gift of faith then. May the Lord Jesus Christ give you that free gift of faith. May the Holy Spirit enable you to release that gift of faith within you to fight your battles to victory. That you may inherit miracles, signs, wonders, healing and deliverance through Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour. 

Loving Father in Heaven, I pray for  this one  reading this truth.

I pray you grant them, a free gift of faith in their situations/circumstances.

May they release the faith to confront their challenges victoriously and fulfil your will in their lives, business, workplace, family, marriage and nations.

May they be pleasing to you as they keep walking by that faith.

And all glory comes back to you. Amen 

Jesus Christ Promises the Holy Spirit

John 14: 14-17, 26, John 15: 26; John 16: 13-16, 23; Acts 1: 4, 5, 8; Acts 2:1-3; Luke 11:1-13

John 14: 14-17.

If you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

If you love me, keep my commandments.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.

Last night, it was almost midnight and I could not fall asleep. I rolled over to get hold of a copy of the Bible that was nearby. And as I was opening pages with no clue which scripture or verse to settle on, I came across a subtitle on the Gospel according to John chapter 14; ‘Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit’

This was not new message to me; but what struck me most was that Jesus mentioned in the chapter that, it is the Father who promises to give the Holy Spirit, and the role of Jesus in this mystery is to ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit to them that believed Him.

What followed this study about the Holy Spirit according to John’s Gospel was   a thought portrayed by Luke;

Luke 11: 1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Jesus new that the disciples needed the Holy Spirit to pray, but since the Holy Spirit had not yet been given by the Father, Jesus took them through the verses till verse 13 “… how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?’’

After reading these verses, I am like…Ask, Seek, Knock … till the Father gives His promise – The Holy Spirit. And Luke tells us in the book of Acts, God gives the Holy Spirit to them that obey Him. Moreover, he who seeks finds…and that you can persist past midnight till He gives you the Holy Spirit. That it is a sure thing for the Father to give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him.

Now, you and I have a revealed truth to act on; ask the Father to give us the Holy Spirit.

Once the Father acts on His word to give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him, two things will happen straight away as a confirmation that the Holy Spirit has been GIVEN to you after asking the heavenly Father: –

1. You shall receive power (Acts 1:4,5,8)
2. You shall speak in new tongues (Acts 2:1,2, 3)

You must be born again; in order to receive the Holy Spirit. Surely the worldly cannot receive the Holy Spirit (John 14:17). And when you are resisting this revelation and do not want to act on it, know that it is an opposition from the enemy-the devil- that is keeping you off.

Say this prayer to be born again;

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you came and died on the cross to restore me back to the Father. I choose today to be born again, born of God, and born of the Spirit. As scripture says, as many as received Christ, who believed in His name, He gave them the power to become children of God (John 1:12, 13). Lord Jesus, I receive you as my Lord and Saviour. Today I am born again, my sins are forgiven and I have eternal life through Christ. I no longer belong to the devil and his works. My past is all gone and I have become a new creation in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17). Amen

We start this inspirational thought with a personal question, ask yourself….am I spiritually awake?

As we get along, and by the end of this inspiring message we will precisely respond to this question and work out what is required to continually remain spiritually awake till Jesus Christ comes back to rapture His Bride– His mysterious body- His mysterious church!

Guiding words:
– Awake you that is asleep, slumber
– slack, sluggish, lazy, idle, lost interest
– slow, dull, foolish, unwise, dull in hearing, without knowledge, without understanding, sitting on your talents
– poverty stricken, naked, unbelieving, faithless, lost without shepherd
– backsliding, lukewarm, cold, salt without taste,
– fleshly, carnal, earthy, worldly, spiritually blind and deaf
– you left first love, you are no longer in touch with God- you no longer talk to Him or about Him, dead conscience, insensitive, without Spirit.

Similarities of being spiritually awake:
-spiritually alert, victorious, stir up the gift in you
-prayerful, watchful, diligent, zealous,
-fervent in Spirit,
-full of God, wise, redeeming time.

Prophetic declaration:
The Spirit of the Lord is saying to you, I know you, and your ways are always before me. You have fallen from your first love for me, and allowed vanities to occupy you and this has made you naked spiritually. You have no time for God’s word and fellowship any more. You lost the sensitivity towards your Creator, you no longer pray to Him the way you did. You no longer love the gospel and the scriptures the way you did. Your faith and love have grown cold and have fallen away from my presence. Yet there is hope in Christ, for you will be revived and awakened spiritually from your deep slumber. I desire that you be awake spiritually , praising me, communing with me, hearing my voice, worshipping me, glorifying me and walking in the light. And your days of dryness, burrenness, unfruitfulness and strife are over. For I will cause you to SEEK the Lord early and empower you to remain spiritually awake till Christ’s return. I will cause you to walk with me as the Bride of Christ and empower you to partake of the rapture as the scriptures say! Says the Spirit of the Lord God Almighty.

As I speak on “waging war in the spirit”, I refer to born again Christians (who have experienced a new birth – spiritual rebirth, that is, regeneration of the human spirit) who are born of God, born of the Spirit as declared in the following scriptures :

“Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God, that is,  unless one is born a second time , born of the Spirit and water”. John 3:3.

“But as many as received Him (Christ), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God”. John 1: 12, 13

As a child of God, I wage war, right now, in the spirit world: To ruin , uproot, demolish, overthrow, kingdoms of darkness and evil powers in the mighty name (under the authority) of Jesus Christ!

• Divorce and it’s bitter consequence.
• Sin and it’s roots.
• Poverty, lack , limitations of all kind.
• Rebellion against God and resistance to godliness and His word-the Bible.
• Unbelief, paganism, faithlessness, God haters, denying the existence of the true God, lawlessness.
• Hatred towards the elect of God, rejection!
• Stubbornness concerning salvation- being born again.
• Religions (religious doctrines) that are man-made, deny God the power and glory due His name.
• Mental and intellectual resistance to God.
• Sickness, disease, curses.
• Lies in the mind (carnal minds), deceit, fear!
• Emotions that are soulish.

“For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man.” 2 Corinthians 10:3 amp.
